Burn ban issued for all of Washington Parish
FRANKLINTON, La. (WVUE) - A burn ban has been issued for Washington Parish by government officials concerned about dry, windy conditions and the potential for wildfires, authorities said.
Parish president Ryan Seal issued the parish-wide burn ban Sunday (Feb. 25), according to his executive order.
Outdoor fires are prohibited for at least the next two weeks, but the ban could be extended if conditions do not improve.
Residents are asked to refrain from burning any materials outdoors until the public is notified that the ban is lifted.
